“Angie,” the lead single from the Stones’ 1973 Goat’s Head Soup album, is an interesting example of how the Mick Jagger-Keith Richards songwriting team sometimes operates. Jagger explains. “I think Keith wrote, he wrote one word, and he said, ‘Angie,’ and I think it was to do with his daughter, she’s called Angela. And I just wrote the rest of it.”

Mick Jagger celebrates his 73rd birthday today.
