And this is a good thing for 88 fans and unlike other professional sports, the athlete in question has the ultimate say on whether to return or not. Just ask those who play or have played in the NFL. A team of doctors would convince, coaches would put pressure on a player to get back out there. And in case you haven’t heard, like those who have played in the NFL and have suffered brain trauma, Earnhardt has already given the OK to donate his brain, so doctors could study the effects of those injuries. So, right now it looks like at least two more weeks of Dale Jr taking a break from driving the 88. Until then, it’s Jeff Gordon behind the wheel.

Thanks to Sporting, HERE is the story.

Have a great day.
