Freddie Mercury Is, Not Was, A Shooting Star

Freddie Mercury’s career somewhat resembled a shooting star, with his fame burning brightly before disappearing much too soon. Astronomer, and former band mate Brian May, announced on Freddy’s 70th birthday, yesterday, that an actual shooting star will be named after the iconic frontman of Queen.

This Freddie is a two-mile wide rock, located 300 million miles from Earth. Interesting that the guy who sang “We Will Rock You” all these years now has his name on a famous space rock. Rock on Freddie!
