The iconic”Bat Out Of Hell” album had it’s origins in a Jim Steinman musical titled “Neverland”. It was performed only once on stage, but songs from “Neverland” formed the foundation of the “Bat Out Of Hell” album. After nearly forty years and sales of forty million units worldwide, it’s back to the theaters as “Bat Out Of Hell:The Musical” hits the stage next year. The show draws from several of Steinman’s albums and does not include Meatloaf.

“Bat” was presented so dramatically, it just lends itself to a musical theater adaptation. I just wonder what took them so long.
