Bruce Springsteen has released his autobiography, “Born To Run” because, as the saying goes, if you don’t write your own history someone else will. For over forty years he’s set the bar for live performances and for the bond that can be forged between a performer and their audience. And although it’s always seemed out of the question, there will come a time when he walks off the stage one last time. Steven Hyden (who’s last book was the very cool “Your Favorite Band Is Killing Me”) has written a great article on how the inevitable passage of timeĀ is being dealt with by the man who was born to run.
