Today's Question: Simon and Garfunkel's Bookends album was released 50 years ago today (April 3rd, 1968). Two singles from it were covered for hits in the 1980s an 1990s. One was The Bangles' version of "A Hazy Shade of Winter." What was the second?

Stumped? Here are a few hints.

  • It was recorded in 1992 to promote a 25th anniversary home video release of The Graduate.
  • It was done by a band from Boston, whose frontman has said that he hates the song and its author.
  • After the track became a hit on Modern Rock radio, it was added to the band's It's a Shame About Ray album.
