Vic Gideon

Vic can be heard every Saturday from 2 PM - 7 PM & Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

A media veteran, Vic has spent three decades as a recognizable voice and face in Cleveland. He spent ten years at WKYC as a reporter and fill-in anchor with the NBC affiliate in Cleveland and, concurrent to his television work, he filled-in on the morning shows at WNCX, WDOK, and WQAL. He also had two stints in the 90s on the morning show at WENZ 107.9 The End, one of the first Alternative Rock stations in the country, and won multiple reporting awards at WWWE. He also worked at WAKC TV23, the ABC affiliate in Akron, reporting and anchoring the 5:00 show "Your News."

Many weekends, you'll see Vic at the Grog Shop or at other venues throughout Northeast Ohio watching live music. He enjoyed U2's stadium show in the Summer of 2017 and still talks about seeing Peter Gabriel in a Dayton gym (Hara Arena) during the "Melt" album tour in the 80s when he opened with "The Intruder" and closed with "Biko." His biggest regret was passing on seeing Nirvana in Chicago during their 1993 tour when his friend said, "Dude, we'll catch them next time." Spoiler alert: there was no next time.

Vic spends his free time with his family, including his four boys, enjoying movies, going to concerts, and watching Cleveland sports. In the summer, you can find him at Progressive Field or on the baseball diamond coaching his youngest son.
